Topgolf Launches New Kid-Friendly Programs

Apr 25, 2013
Topgolf teeing off Summer Academy golf instruction and KidZone for exclusive discounts and giveaways

DALLAS – April 25, 2013 – With summer break on the horizon, golf entertainment leader Topgolf is debuting new programs to keep the kids busy while school is out. Registration is now open for Topgolf Summer Academy, a one-week golf instruction course for children ages 6-12, and for KidZone, a free program that features exclusive discounts, events and giveaways.

Each weeklong Summer Academy will cover the basics of golf – chipping, putting, swinging and the rules and etiquette of the game. With a maximum student-to-teacher ratio of six to one, each child is guaranteed personal attention from a golf professional. Snacks and lunches will be provided during the program, in addition to a hat, T-shirt, a certificate of completion and the opportunity to win prizes.

The Summer Academy costs $250 and will be conducted at Topgolf’s locations in Alexandria, VA; Allen, TX; Austin, TX; Dallas, Houston and Wood Dale, IL. The first academy takes place the week of June 3.

The new KidZone program allows parents to sign up their children to receive discounts on Topgolf, invitations to kids-only parties, and the opportunity to enter contests and giveaways. KidZone is available to children 12 and younger, with no cost to participate.

“Topgolf has partnered with Golf Galaxy and DICK’S Sporting Goods to create added value for our junior guests,” said TopGolf Director of Strategic Partnerships Rodney Ferrell. “Summer Academy and KidZone offer families affordable summertime activities that will also help participating children learn about golf, a sport they can enjoy for years to come.”
