Topgolf: Now Free for High School Golf Teams

Aug 17, 2015
Initiatives intended to grow the game of golf and give back to the community

DALLAS – August 17, 2015 – Topgolf International today announced that it will allow high school golf teams to practice at its venues free of charge on weekdays.

High school golf teams can visit any Topgolf® location in the U.S. to work on target practice or use Topgolf as a back-up venue when there is inclement weather at the team’s home course.

“Like the saying goes, ‘Practice makes perfect,’” said Topgolf National Director of Golf Services Dennis Harrington. “We are excited to offer a fresh and unique twist on the normal golf team practice routine. Hitting golf balls toward giant dartboard-like targets is not your everyday practice for a high school golfer.”

Free practice hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each player will receive a free Lifetime Membership with complimentary club rentals, though golfers are welcome to bring their own clubs. Reservations should be booked through each location’s events department.

“Changing up the way we practice allows our team to bond in a fun environment and sharpen our game at the same time,” said Chris Ball, the head golf coach at Keller High School in Texas. “Topgolf brings out our players’ fun and competitive edge, which is just what we need to get ready for the upcoming golf season.”
