Topgolf Partners with Pro Football Hall of Fame

Aug 27, 2015
The golf entertainment company extends premium membership to Hall of Famers

DALLAS – Aug. 27, 2015 – In conjunction with the recent Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony in Canton, Ohio, golf entertainment leader Topgolf International is honoring 166 Gold Jackets (living Hall of Famers) with a special Topgolf Gold Pass Membership.

“It’s an honor for Topgolf to extend this offer to the Pro Football Hall of Fame stars,” said Topgolf Executive Chairman Erik Anderson. “Several Hall of Famers have played Topgolf throughout the years, including Troy Aikman, Charles Haley and Tim Brown, who visit our Dallas-area locations regularly. We are very excited to introduce more Hall of Famers to the Topgolf concept and allow our guests the opportunity to play alongside these legends.”

The Gold Jackets reside across the United States. The Topgolf Gold Pass acts as a premium membership offering VIP access to Topgolf venues, complimentary game play, discounts and a number of other perks. The recipients also will be invited to attend Topgolf special events, fan meet-and-greets and grand opening parties.

"We are thrilled to align with the Pro Football Hall of Fame through a national partnership that delivers new marketing initiatives between our two brands, while providing Hall of Famers special access to our Topgolf community,” said Topgolf Director of Strategic Partnerships Rodney Ferrell.

The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2015 includes: running back Jerome Bettis, wide receiver/returner Tim Brown, defensive end/linebacker Charles Haley, contributor Bill Polian, linebacker Junior Seau, guard Will Shields, center Mick Tingelhoff and contributor Ron Wolf.

“Topgolf represents a level of excellence that makes it a perfect match for the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” Hall of Fame Senior Director of Sponsor Relations Pat Lindesmith commented. “The new partnership will not only allow Gold Jackets to enjoy this unique brand of entertainment but also expose patrons to the greatness of Gold Jackets.”

Brown, who was officially enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 8, is a regular visitor of Topgolf The Colony and has hosted several fundraisers for his non-profit organization Ethos Education Group.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Topgolf. It is a world-class experience, and I’m thrilled that my fellow Hall of Famers will now have the opportunity to enjoy Topgolf just as I have for many years,” Brown shared.
