DALLAS, October 18, 2023 – BAJ Golf Development Iberia, an authorized developer of Topgolf, will bring the global sports and entertainment venue to the Iberian Peninsula by opening venues in Spain and Portugal. The agreement between Topgolf and BAJ includes multiple venues to be opened in Spain and Portugal over the next several years.

• What is Topgolf? A sports entertainment complex that features high-tech golf, food, drinks and a good time. Think of it as a modern golf experience where anyone can participate in the sport in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. You’ll take aim at giant targets on the field while playing virtual courses or Topgolf’s signature games like Angry Birds – and so you know, Topgolf celebrates the bad shots just as much as the beautiful swings.
• Here’s how Topgolf works: book a bay, pick your game, grab a drink and a bite to eat and then swing away! It’s truly that simple.
• With 90+ locations worldwide, Topgolf invites Players (aka guests) to enjoy the brand’s technology-driven modern golf experience.
• These new venues will employ an average of 400 or more Playmakers (aka employees – think bay hosts, bartenders, ball picker upper people, etc.) per venue during construction, and another 450 jobs once opened. 

100% Golf

• The venues in Spain and Portugal will feature 102 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays. Each bay has lounge-type furniture or high-top tables where groups can cheer – or heckle – the other Players.
• The venue is equipped with Topgolf’s Toptracer technology, which traces each golf ball’s flight path, distance and other cool metrics to impress your friends.
• Players can even partake in lessons through Topgolf’s Coach program, led by the venue’s Director of Instruction.

100% Not Golf

• Topgolf takes its “not golf” very seriously. That’s why a full-service restaurant, top-shelf drinks, rooftop terrace, outdoor patio, music, private event spaces and year-round family-friendly programs are just as much a part of the Topgolf experience.
